Coat Boston and The Holiday Shop operate out of space provided by Hancock Church in Lexington. This is the operational hub for delivery of donations, sorting and packing, and distribution to recipient organizations in mid-December.

Please donate only new items. We cannot distribute used items. Thank you!

What we accept

  • Coats

    New winter coats for male and female children from infant through high school, sizes 3 months to adult XXXL

  • Winter accessories

    New winter accessories – hats, mittens, gloves, scarves in child and adult sizes

  • Toys

    New toys and ethnic dolls, ages infants through middle school

  • School supplies

    New books, art supplies, and games, ages pre-school through high school

  • Sports equipment

    New sporting equipment, all ages – soccer balls are in demand

  • Gift Cards

    Gift cards from vendors such as Amazon, Target, and Stop & Shop in any denomination

Monetary Donations

Cash donations will be used to purchase new coats and accessories for children in need.

How to donate

  • Donate through your place of worship or organization if it is holding a drive for Coat Boston or The Holiday Shop.

  • Contact the HR Department at your workplace to inquire about how to set up a donation drive.

  • Organize a drive through your social network, club, or neighborhood group.  Invite people to bring an item from the donation list above. 

  • Drop off your individual donation at our hub.

  • Order through our Amazon Wish List of high-demand items that can delivered to our location.  On the order form please use the “NOTES” section to provide the donor’s name unless you wish to remain anonymous. If ordering online, please place your order prior to November 24, 2024 to ensure your donation is delivered by our deadline.

All donations must be received by Monday, December 9, 2024 to ensure they can be delivered to recipients before the holidays.

Enter through the red front door with white columns. Our office is located inside and to the left. On-street parking is available in front of the building and across the street.

 

Large organization donations: please email info@coatboston.org to schedule delivery.

Individual and small group donations: donations may be dropped off at our designated collection box at our hub.
